On October 17, the round-table discussion on the use of new technologies to increase safety and reliability of bridges in construction and operation took place at the international road exhibition in Ekaterinburg.

International Road Exhibition is held in Ekaterinburg from October 16 to 18 bringing together experts of the industry. More than 250 companies from Russia, China, Switzerland, Czech Republic and other countries present their innovations and achievements.

On 10 October 2019, a round table was held in the Federation Council. The table was arranged by the Committee on Economic Policy to discuss measures for improving Design Regulatory Framework in Road Construction.

The award ceremony for the Russian Roads - 2019 contest took place in Moscow on October 10. The Betancourt Bridge, designed by Institute Stroyproekt, won the special Unique Project of the Year prize.

On September 26, a new museum was opened in St.Petersburg. It is a branch site of the Central Railway Transport Museum – the Bridge Museum. The exposition covers the last two hundred years of Russian bridge engineering.

Rehabilitation of the Murmansk Airport is part of the federal project for development of regional airports and air routes. The project is included into the national programme for comprehensive modernization and enhancement of main transport infrastructure by 2024 approved by the Russian Government order No 2101-р dated 30 September 2018). 

On September 3, Stage 7 of the M-11 express toll highway Moscow - St. Petersburg was opened to traffic. The opening ceremony was held at the 561st kilometer of the road.

As the deputy head of the Federal Road Agency Yevgeny Nosov informs, 85 national standards are to be newly developed and approved in the road sector by the end of the year.

The 5th International Forum “Innovations in Road Construction” took place in Sochi. It was organized by State Company AVTODOR and attended by members of the State Duma and representatives of relevant ministries, and construction and design companies.
