Expressway Highway M-12 Vostok

Expressway Highway M-12 Vostok

Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan
Design, detailed design
Project period: 2020 – Present
General Designer: Institute Stroyproekt AO
Client: Russian Highways State Company (AVTODOR).

The new highway is designed to divert transit traffic coming from the western Russian regions towards Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny, and further to Ufa, bypassing a congested road along the dam of Nizhnekamsk hydropower plant. The bypass includes a new bridge over the Kama near Kotlovka and Ilyinka.

Our engineers have developed and considered five route alternatives to choose the optimal one, both in technical and economic terms.
