M-4 Don Section in Rostov Region opens after rehabilitation

M-4 Don Section in Rostov Region opens after rehabilitation 25.12.2020

On 24 December, the M-4 Don highway section between 1024 km and 1036 km was opened after rehabilitation. Rehabilitation works started in spring 2019.

The 12.5km-long road section required retrofitting to increase its capacity and reduce the rate of accidents at the existing at-grade intersections.  The rehabilitation project involved the following improvements: replacement of pavement, installation of lighting, traffic management system, noise screens, and soundproof windows in residential houses adjacent to the highway, and construction of a viaduct and a bridge.

The opening ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Russian Highways Board Vyacheslav Petushenko, the Governor of Rostov Region Vasily Golubev, and the directors of Stroyproekt Moscow and Rostov branches Aleksander Kusik and Yuri Ershov.
At the ceremony, the engineers of Rostov branch received industry awards for their contribution to the transport infrastructure development.

Our congratulations to the designers of the project and Stroyproekt Engineering Group on commissioning of a new road section!
