Construction of a new Voroshilovsky Bridge comes to the end
13.04.2015The Contractor is planning to complete the first phase of a new Voroshilovsky Bridge in Rostov- on-Don in July. At present the Contractor (Mostootryad 10) is waterproofing the carriageway and is preparing for asphalting, installation of safety barriers and guardrails, and lightening.
Main technical parameters of the bridge after reconstruction:
– Length of the river crossing: 623 m
– Central span: 156 m
– Lanes: 3+3.
The bridge will have two separate decks for each traffic direction.
Construction started in September 2013. In fact the project envisages construction of two new 3-lane bridges. Only the foundations of the old bridge will be left and will be significantly reinforced.
The project has been implemented within the Federal programme for preparation to Football World Cup 2018.
