Vyshny Volochok Bypass Section of the M-11 Moscow – St. Petersburg toll express motorway is planned to open in November this year 07.11.2014

This road section crosses 3 districts of Tver Region and is 72 km long. In just 34 months, 54 road engineering structures have been built, including 38 overpasses, 14 bridges and 2 multilevel interchanges at the intersection with the M-10 Don highway. Vyshny Volochok bypass section is a 4-lane road (2 lanes in each direction); the designed speed is maximum 150 kmh. At this road section there will be 8 rest areas for up to 29 passenger cars each. The project made use of novel technologies that would increase the lifetime and safety of road structures and minimise negative environmental impact. The road will have wildlife fencing and crossings.

Construction of the Moscow – St. Petersburg toll express road is a federal infrastructural project implemented on the basis of public-private partnership. The project is being executed with the active involvement and cooperation of State Company “Russian Highways” (GK Avtodor) and Tver Region Administration.
