The contractor is placing asphalt on 6 bridges of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny Bypass

Construction of the bridges started in spring 2022. To date, the contractors have erected piers and bridge decks, and installed expansion joints, waterproofing and the base course of granite stone asphalt mixture.

After asphalting is completed, the next stage of works will include installation of lighting poles, gutters, road signs and barriers, etc.

The Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny Bypass project envisages construction of 4-lane category 1B road, 10 bridges, 5 interchanges, 11 overpasses and 5 grade-separated intersections. The total length of the bypass is 81 km. The construction is carried out in 3 phases and is to be completed by the end of 2024.
