The second launching stage of the Kama Bridge started

Construction of the bridge over the Kama River, which is part of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny Bypass in Tatarstan, is ongoing. The bridge deck is now to be launched to 132 m.  The launching is being performed in severe weather conditions – the air temperature has dropped to 30^oC below zero. Despite the challenging weather, the contractor is progressing on schedule.

The bridge over the Kama includes a 510m-long approach flyover and a 792m-long river span. The approach flyover will be assembled of precast RC beams.  The main bridge deck comprises continuous steel box girders consisting of 64 segments.

This year the contractor is planning to erect four spans, and the entire deck will be installed next year.

Our company is the main designer of the project and is carrying out the designer’s supervision.
