Transport Hub in Murmansk Transport Hub in Murmansk

The project is included into the federal target program “Development of Russian Transport System for the period from 2010 to 2020" and will be implemented based on PPP principles. The purpose of the project is to create transport infrastructure on the western coast of Kola Bay including construction of coal and oil terminals, development of railway infrastructure, rehabilitation of the existing coal terminal and construction of a new container terminal on the eastern coast of Kola Bay.

The new bridge crossing links the southern part of Primorsky District with the northern shore of Krestovsky Island.  Connection of the bridge to the street and road network of Primorsky District envisages extension of Yakhtennaya Street towards the Gulf of Finland.  At Krestovsky Island side, the bridge crossing starts from reclaimed areas.

The river crossing includes a bridge over the Ob River with approaches, traffic interchanges at the right and at the left banks, a tunnel under Trans-Siberian railway road, toll plaza buildings and utilities.

The project provides for arranging transit traffic on the R133 Olsha – Nevel motorway to bypass the city of Velizh. The project includes rehabilitation of the existing R133 road section and construction of a new road section with a bridge over the Western Dvina River.
The project will be implemented in 2 phases.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has provided a senior loan to OJSC Vodokanal, a public utility enterprise responsible for the provision of water supply and wastewater services in the City of Yakutsk, the capital of the Republic of Sakha.  The Project funds will be used to co-finance the priority investment programme aimed at rehabilitation and modernisation of the water intake and water supply systems.

The project site peculiarities that influenced the design solutions include an extremely confined space due to the existing municipal and Adler railway station utilities.

Description

The new 4-level interchange in the centre of Krasnodar ensures smooth traffic through Stavropolskaya and Starokubanskaya Streets including tram operation in Stavropolskaya Street.

The design also provides for comfortable public transport traffic.

The architectural solution includes the roundabout deck fixed to four pylons by means of stay cables. The pylon tops are connected with each other in a ‘bicycle wheel’ system. Aesthetic lighting at dark makes the roundabout look soaring and gleaming in the air.

Description

The bypass road is designed for transit vehicles and shall thereby improve the traffic situation within the resort city of Anapa and its outskirts.

The project comprises construction of a 13.5km-long highway bypassing some settlements, and three traffic interchanges with local roads Krasnodar Region.

Description

Kaluga South Bypass with a bridge over the Oka River connects three federal highways: the M-3 Ukraine, R-132 Kaluga — Ryazan and R-92 Kaluga — Oryol. The new road allows diverting heavy vehicles to bypass the residential areas and reduces the traffic in the city. Driver’s comfort, speed and ecology — this is the new federal motor road as described by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
