Russia’s achievements in road transport sector presented in Abu-Dhabi

Russian road experts participate in the 26th World Road Congress, which is first held in the Middle East. The opening ceremony took place on October 6. The event brought together more than 3 000 participants from 140 countries.

The Russian delegation is led by Innokentiy Alafinov, first deputy of the Russian Ministry of Transport. At presenting the stand he spoke about road construction projects recently completed in Russia, in particular about Crimean and Bugrinsky bridges with their unique design, the Safer Road Project, advances in ITS and in production of polymer bitumen binders increasing pavement service life.

Among companies, which represent Russia, are Institute Stroyproekt, GK ABZ-1, Giprostroymost Saint Petersburg, GLONASS JSC, Rosasfalt Association, etc.

Institute Stroyproekt is represented by Mikhail Tsarev, deputy general director.

The World Road Congress by PIARC takes place every four years, and attracts thousands of participants from all over the world, including senior officials, road construction and consulting companies, suppliers and manufacturers of machinery, equipment and materials. The Congress is dedicated to global discussion and knowledge sharing on the full spectrum of issues related to roads and road transport.
