Stroyproekt Takes Part in International Forum “Transport of Siberia” 25.05.2017

The 6th international forum “Transport of Siberia” opened in Novosibirsk on 24 May 2017. The opening ceremony was attended by Sergey Menyailo, Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in Siberian Federal District, Vladimir Gorodetsky, Governor of Novosibirsk Region, Valery Okulov, Deputy Minister of Transport, Alexander Starovoitov, Member of the State Duma Committee for Transport and Construction and Andrey Shimkiv, Chairman of Novosibirsk Region Legislative Assembly. 

The high-ranking guests addressed the forum and wished the participants successful work and an open and effective dialogue in preparing proposals on how to develop and improve the transport infrastructure of Novosibirsk Region and Russia in general. 
Stroyproekt Engineering Group is participating in the forum and exhibition for the sixth time. Aleksei Zhurbin, General Director of Institute Stroyproekt made a presentation on “Current problems of road construction and legislative initiatives of the Russian Ministry of Transport” at the round table on Design Management in Road Construction.

TransSiberia exhibition is an integral and important part of the forum. It is dedicated to the transport industry and warehouse and transport logistics, and shows recent achievements and developments in road and transport construction. At its exhibit booth, Stroyproekt presented large investment projects such as The Ob River crossing at Ippodronskaya Street (Central Bridge) and Bugrinsky Bridge in Novosibirsk,  and the Express Toll Road Moscow-St. Petersburg. Aleksei Zhurbin spoke about the design of the Central Bridge in Novosibirsk, a major PPP project, and showed a model of the bridge crossing. Implementation of this project based on PPP mechanism is particularly important in the context of the current budget optimization.

The experience of previous forums shows that proposals and recommendations made within their framework contribute to the innovation capacity-building of the road construction sector and increase its competitiveness, improving interaction between authorities and the transport business community and establishing new inter-regional and international ties.
