Closing segment of Korabelny Bridge is erected 09.08.2016

On the night of 8 and 9 August, a closing segment of the cable-stayed bridge over Korabelny Fairway was installed.

The entire operation including transportation of the deck segment by a barge and its lifting took about 10 hours. The segment was lifted to the height of 35 m by the heavy lifting method using special hoisting equipment installed on the deck cantilevers on either side of the span.

The new expressway has reduced travel times in some city areas by 50-70%.
