Stroyproekt Gets a New Contract for Construction Supervision Services 15.06.2015

The services will be rendered for the North – South Alternative Road Project that includes construction of a tunnel at Kok-Art Pass.   
The tunnel site is located in Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan in the mountain section of the planned North-South motorway.
Construction supervision will be carried out in line with the best international practices in the road sector.
The expected period of construction supervision services is 5 years.   
The Client is PII Kyrgysdortransproekt (The Kyrgyz Republic).
This project is another step of Stroyproekt Engineering Group entering the international engineering and consultancy services market outside the Russian Federation.

For reference:
The Project is divided into 3 stages:
- 142 km long section Kazarman – Jalal-Abad,
- 12 km long section Kyzyl Jyldyz – Aral and 96 km long section Aral — Kazarman,
- 183 km long section Balykchi – Kyzyl Jyldyz.
Construction of the First Stage of North – South Alternative Road started on 1 April 2014 in Aral and Kyzyl Jyldyz settlements of Jumgalsky district. The most complicated part of this section is Kok-Art Pass 2500 meters above the sea level, where a 3700 m-long tunnel is to be built. According to the experts, only 115 kilometers of the new road will be built, the rest of it will include rehabilitated existing roads. The total length of the road will be 433 kilometers. North – South Road will be of the 2nd category, the road bed will be 15 meters wide. Construction and rehabilitation of North – South Road will be completed in 2017.
