Stroyproekt designed a new section of Makarova Embankment from Admiralteisky Proezd to Western High Speed Diameter

Stroyproekt developed the design for construction of a new section of Makarova Embankment from Admiralteisky Proezd to Western High Speed Diameter. The section is located both on the existing territory of Vasilievsky Island and newly reclaimed areas.

The route starts from the embankment junction to Admiralteisky Proezd and ends at the connection to WHSD.

Main parameters:

• Design speed: 100 kmh
• Number of lanes: 6 (at approaches to WHSD the road is narrowed to 4 lanes)

The new road section increased the traffic capacity of Vasileostrovsky District and to redistribute traffic flows, unloading the city centre from transport. The project improved living environment and efficiency of the city transport infrastructure.
