The Eastern Bosporus Strait Crossing to Russky Island
Vladivostok. New Construction.
“Institute Strojproect” carries out construction supervision of this project.
The bridge construction to Russky island is part of the program of preparations for 2012 Vladivostok ATEC Summit. The bridge to Russky island will be one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world. Its central span is 1,104 m long, which is a record breaking mark in the world bridge building. This bridge will also have the highest pylon and the longest cables.
The total length of the bridge: 1,885.5 m (scheme: 60+72+3х84+1104+3х84+72+60 m); the total length with flyovers: 3,100 m; width: 29.5 m; carriageway width: 23.8 m; number of lanes: 4 (2 in each direction); under bridge clearance: 70 m; number of pylons: 2; height of pylons: 320.9 m; number of cables: 168.
It is planned to complete the construction of the bridge to Russky island in the 2nd quarter of 2012. The bridge is unique in its main parameters and it will be built within a very short period: 43 months.
The Client-Developer: FGU «Directorate for construction of road infrastructure projects in Vladivostok as a center of international cooperation in ATEC area of the Federal Road Agency (FGU DSD “Vladivostok”).
