The meeting of the Marine Council sections under the Government of St. Petersburg dedicated to construction of Novo-Admiralteysky bridge across the Big Neva took place on June 9, 2011, in the North-Western Basin Branch of FGUP “Rosmorport”.

The results of mathematic modeling were presented at the meeting. The modeling was performed for ensuring navigation safety in construction and operation of the bridge in the process of natural experiment for passing the combined vessels type (sea and river) in the area of construction site. Also design solutions were reviewed for organization of the places where the convoys of vessels of this combined navigation type are formed for passing under the drawn bridges and where the floating moors are located for receipt of the cruisers in the central part of St. Petersburg.

The main speakers were S. Nekrasov, Chairman of the Navigation Chair of St. Petersburg State University of Water Communications, A. Levakin, First Deputy of The City Committee for development of transport infrastructure and L. Tozik, Director of JSC “GT Morstroy” Design Institute. Alexey Zhurbin, General Director of JSC “Institute Strojproect”, also took the floor, as well as V. Rudykh and A. Alexeev, Deputies of the Head of GU “Volgo-Baltic” State Basin Administration of water ways, I. Glukhov, Director of NP “ North-Western Regional Branch of the Russian Union of Tourist Industry” and the General Director of JSC “Inflot Worldwide St. Petersburg”, E. Malchenok, General Director of JSC “Arctour travel”.

On the whole, the meeting of the Marine Council section was fruitful and was held in the atmosphere of constructive discussion of the agenda issues.
