The construction of the transport interchange included: reconstruction of the carriageway and local passageways of Dunaisky Prospect from the junction with Kosmonautov Prospect in Moscow district and from Balkanskaya street to Kupchinskaya street in Frunze district;
construction of an overpass at the crossing of the mainway with Vitebsky Prospect, railway tracks and Malaya Balkanskaya street; reconstruction of sections of Malaya Balkanskaya street and Kupchinskaya street in the area of the interchange construction;
construction of embankment section along the Volkovsky canal;
rearrangement of the existing utilities in the construction area;
improvement of the surrounding territory. The construction started in June 2003 and completed in September 2005.
