Approach Road to New Platov Airport Opened in Rostov-on-Don on 29th November
29.11.2017A new 16 km four-lane road linked the airport with the northern by-pass of Rostov-on-Don and M-4 Don highway.
The project included construction of 9 engineering facilities: 6 overpasses and 3 bridges. The design traffic speed is 120 km/h.
The new road was built within the programme of preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The road will provide a quick and comfortable link to the football matches to be held at the new Rostov Arena stadium.
The opening ceremony was attended by Vasily Golubev, Governor of Rostov Region, the Russian State Duma members, Aksaisky District Administration and representatives of construction and design companies.
